Rivers Political Actors Urged To Remain Patient Over Appointments

Political actors in Rivers State who are yet to benefit from appointments or political patronage under the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, have been urged to remain patient and optimistic. The Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Aboiyaa Bob-Fubara, gave the advice over the weekend during a wedding reception held in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area. The event was organised in honour of the daughter of a member of the political group known as Wike Echelon.

Speaking shortly after the ceremony, Bob-Fubara described the FCT Minister as a leader committed to building people rather than merely using them for political gains. He encouraged party faithful and political stakeholders to remain supportive, noting that opportunities would come in due time for loyal members who continue to work for the growth of the political structure.

Meanwhile, the leader of the Wike Echelon group in Rivers State, Francis Amadi, commended the Akuku-Toru chairman for identifying with the group during the celebration. He said the presence of Bob-Fubara added colour and prestige to the ceremony, describing it as a demonstration of unity and solidarity within the political family.

The father of the bride, Chile Amadi, is said to be a strong member of the Wike Echelon group. The council chairman was accompanied to the event by the Vice Chairman of the council, Warigbani George, Chief Protocol Officer Anthony Penman, and other political appointees.
