CP Effiong assured members of the public that, as a defender of human rights, the police officers in the video will be investigated in line with extant rules underlying the conduct of police personnel and that appropriate sanctions will be meted accordingly.
The CP, in a statement by the Command Public Relations officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, further assured the people of the State of the police’s unalloyed commitment to promoting the rule of law, just as he enjoined them to report cases of human rights abuse and infractions.
