The Rivers Peace Initiative has expressed reservations about the fragile peace currently holding in the state.
Convener of the group, Obinna Ebogidi, in an interview, urged political leaders to take the lead in ensuring lasting peace. He emphasized that all stakeholders, including the media, have a critical role to play in sustaining stability in Rivers State.
On his part, the Chairman of the Niger Delta Youth Movement, Tamuno-Belema Tamunomama, said the peace deal appears shaky, insisting that both camps are merely pretending to be at peace with each other.
