President Tinubu had announced an additional wage increase for civil servants in the country in October, to cushion the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy.
Speaking with Today FM’s Ifunanya Obene-Ndukwe, the civil servant who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said there was no increase in their salaries for the month of October.
He noted that the state government had failed to implement the thirty thousand Naira minimum wage announced by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
