The Association of Revenue Consultants and Agents has inaugurated a six-member task force to tackle illegal revenue collection across Rivers State.
Chairman of the association, Oriye Tamuno-Nengiye Ofori, charged members of the task force with ensuring effective coordination of revenue collection across the state.
The task force is headed by Kingsley Idaye as Chairman, Edward Chekwa as Secretary, and Veron Onda as Spokesperson.
Other members are Thompson Agbagidi, Chinwendu Achinewhu and Joy Atori.
Ofori disclosed that members of the task force would undergo a two-day training to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
He stressed the importance of operating within the confines of the law and urged members to conduct themselves professionally and appropriately while performing their duties.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening revenue coordination and curbing illegal revenue collection across Rivers State.
