A final report released by the Accident Investigation Bureau, five years after the tragedy, revealed that the ill-fated plane lost power from its two of its engines.
The report also indicted the Airline for failing to carry out adequate background checks on the pilot, who was identified as a foreigner and recruited by Dana in March of the same year.
The report further noted that the pilot had previous regulatory issues with the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States of America.
You will recall that all one hundred and forty-seven passengers and six crews onboard the ill-fated plane were killed in the crash on 3rd of June, 2012, in addition to six persons on ground.
It was in that same air disaster that a former Group General Manager in charge of Public Affairs of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Doctor LEVI AJUONOMA, also lost his life.
