To this end, DOGARA disclosed that the lower chamber of the National Assembly was committed to passing the legislation for increased new minimum wage.
In his May Day goodwill message to Nigerian workers, DOGARA noted that increasing workers’ salary and wages has become necessary in view of the current inflation, naira devaluation and rising cost of living.
The Speaker congratulated the entire Nigerian workers as they join their counterparts all over the world in commemoration of the International Workers’ Day.
He enjoined workers, especially civil servants, to rededicate themselves to duty and support the laudable policies and programmes of government.
