Refusal to get treated for HIV a big challenge- Dr. Idakpo

This is according to the Project Manager of the Institute of Human Virology, IHVM, Rivers State, Doctor Stanley Idakpo who spoke to Today FM, on the sideline of a road walk to Borokiri, Port Harcourt, which was organized by the Rivers State Ministry of Health to carry out sensitization on the epidemic, in commemoration of World AIDS Day, 2023.

Doctor Idakpo, in an interview with Today FM’s Ifunanya Obeme-Ndukwe, noted that these issues pose a threat to ending the epidemic, as they are multidimensional.

The Federal Ministry of Health had listed Rivers State as the third highest state with people living with HIV/AIDS.

The state commissioner for Health, Adaeze Oreh disclosed this in a statement to mark this year’s World Aids Day, with the theme: Let Communities Lead.
