This comes after Police Ministry said it would not act against GRACE MUGABE until it receives clarity from the Department of International Relations and Cooperation.

The Ministry said it would make sure that the Zimbabwean First Lady was processed through the legal system.

It said discussions were taking place with MUGABE’s lawyers and the Zimbabwean High Commission over the issue.

Zimbabwe’s move to plead diplomatic immunity for the First Lady thrown up stumbling blocks in efforts to have GRACE MUGABE face assault charges in court.

She is accused by twenty-year-old South African model, GABRIELLA ENGELS, of assaulting her at a hotel in Johannesburg on Sunday.

The alleged assault took place after the First Lady Mugabe found the accuser with her two sons, ROBERT and CHATUNGA, in a hotel room in Sandton.

The mother of the accuser, DEBBIE is now leading a public outcry to pressure South African authorities to pursue the case.

Meanwhile; Zimbabwe’s President ROBERT MUGABE is reported to have flown into South Africa in the heat of the row involving his wife.

President MUGABE arrived in that country ahead of the Southern African Development Community summit of regional leaders, which is due to start on Saturday.
