President MUHAMMADU BUHARI will later in the week join other leaders in London for a summit on anti-corruption.The summit will focus on the theme “Exposing Corruption, Tackling Corruption and Driving out Corruption”. The main summit opens on Thursday, but a pre-summit conference will hold on Wednesday, where President BUHARI is billed to speak on “Why We Must Tackle Corruption Together”.The pre-summit conference is being put together by the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, Transparency International and other civil society groups.The President’s advance team left Abuja yesterday, while BUHARI and the rest of his entourage would travel to London tomorrow.The delegation will include the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, ABUBAKAR MALAMI and the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, IBRAHIM MAGU.The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA, revealed in a statement that President BUHARI is scheduled to speak alongside other world leaders at the opening session of the Anti-Corruption Summit.Other speakers include the British Prime Minister, DAVID CAMERON and the President of World Bank, Doctor JIM YONG KIM.The Presidential delegation is expected to return to Abuja on Friday, after President BUHARI must have attended a separate meeting with Prime Minister CAMERON to discuss Nigeria-Britain collaboration in the war against corruption and terrorism, as well as trade and economic relations.
