President MUHAMMADU BUHARI is going for on another round of overseas travel today, as he seeks to reach out to authorities in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Top on the agenda of President BUHARI’s mission is work with member states of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries to stabilise the prices of crude oil in the international market.To achieve the goal; President BUHARI will be holding talks with King SALMAN BIN ABDULAZIZ AL SAUD of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadyh.After the Saudi visit, President BUHARI will travel to Doha for a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh TAMIM BIN HAMAD AL THANI on Saturday on the same subject matter.BUHARI also intends to hold a meeting with Saudi and Qatari businessmen, with the aim of showcasing potentials and business opportunities in Nigeria.He would be appealing to the international business community to take advantage of investment opportunities in Nigeria’s mining, agriculture, power supply, infrastructure, transportation, communications sectors.The President is traveling with a high-powered Federal Government delegation that includes the Minister of State for Petroleum and Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, IBE KACHIKWU.A statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA, disclosed that the Nigerian leader will also stop by in Medina and Mecca to pray for peace, prosperity and progress in Nigeria.
