Miyetti Allah Rules Out Reprisal Attack Over Killing of Benue Chairman

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has ruled out any reprisal attack in Benue State following the killing of its state chairman, Ardo Risku Mohammed, by suspected armed men.

The association said it would not take the law into its hands despite the provocation, stressing that it would allow security agencies to investigate the killing and bring those responsible to justice. MACBAN urged its members to remain calm and avoid actions capable of escalating tension in the state.

Mohammed was reportedly killed alongside Yakubu Isa after attending a peace meeting in Benue. The incident had sparked concerns over possible reprisals, but the group said it remained committed to peace and lawful resolution of the matter.
