Policemen attached to the Bori Police Divisional Headquarter in Rivers State have arrested a man with more than two thousand Permanent Voter Cards suspected to have been stolen.Our correspondent gathered that the suspect is from Nkoro in Opobo-Nkoro Local Government Area, and is believed to be a member of one of the major political parties in Rivers State.The man was reportedly intercepted with packd of PVCs at a police checkpoint on Unity Road, which links Opopo-Nkoro and Ogoni axis of Rivers State.A senior police officer attached to Bori Divisional Headquarter who confirmed the arrest to our correspondent, said the PVCs were concealed in a traveling bag. A source who witnessed the incident told our correspondent that the man was arrested after he failed to explain to the police how he came about the bunch of PVCs.You will recall that before the 2015 general elections, it was reported that some hoodlums invaded Ward Ten in Nkoro and carted away PVCs meant for the area.
