Our correspondent reports that some youths from Rumuji had embarked on a protest at the premises of Green Vee multinational oil company over alleged unfair treatment by the management before the security operatives on guard at the compound intervened.
Some of the protesters who spoke with correspondent alleged that the company had not given enough consideration to their people in employment opportunities, while those who managed to be employed are being shortchanged.
The President of Land Owners Youth Association, CHIKORDI OJIMS also complained that the management of Green Vee had refused to respond to call for review of the conditions for acquiring the land.

police officers at the Rumuji Divisional Headquarters led by the DPO have entered into a meeting with the Rumuji youths and officials of Green Vee.
At the end of the meeting, it was resolved that the Rumuji youths should put their demands in writing and submit to the company for further negotiations, which the youths agreed to do.
However; representatives of the company declined to speak on the development, while the spokesman of Six Division of Nigeria Army, Colonel AMINU LIYASU promised to brief our correspondent on the fracas much later.
