The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has expressed full support for the decision by the House of Representatives to investigate funds allocated for the maintenance of Nigeria’s refineries.
Describing the probe as long overdue, PETROAN National President, Billy Gillis-Harry, told our reporter that it is appropriate for the investigation to cover expenditures from 1999 to ensure a comprehensive audit of refinery maintenance spending.
Gillis-Harry also expressed confidence in the competence and integrity of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources, stating that he believes the committee will conduct a thorough, unbiased, and impactful investigation.
