PENGASSAN seek public support to end oil bunkering

 

The Port Zonal Chairman PENGASSAN, Peter Onita who spoke an in interview with Today Fm said the move will help stop those who want to mortgage the future of younger generation.

 

Onita described the move by the state government as a positive step in the right direction, targeted to save the economy, the lives of Rivers people and the environment

 

He also urged local government authorities, security agencies in the state to live up to their expectations by ensuring all the illegal refining sites are shutdown and destroyed.

 

Onita further called on the federal government to look into facilitating the operations of auxiliary refineries of those companies already licensed, which he said will provide employment opportunities to youth in the state.
