A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emmanuel Ogidi, has said the party will hold talks with former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and other top political figures as part of efforts to rebuild Nigeria’s main opposition platform.
Ogidi, who is the Chairman of the PDP in the South-South, disclosed this on Wednesday, noting that the engagements are aimed at strengthening the opposition and repositioning the party ahead of future political contests.
He explained that the planned consultations with key political stakeholders across the country form part of the PDP’s broader strategy to foster unity, widen its support base, and present a credible alternative to the ruling party.
