The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Organization in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area has officially commenced its ward-to-ward campaign.
The campaign train kicked off on Saturday in Zone One, covering Wards 1, 2, 3, and 7, with a rally held at Okporo Primary School, Mgbuesilaru.
Addressing supporters, the PDP chairmanship candidate for Obio/Akpor, Dr. Gift Worlu, pledged liberation, transformation, youth empowerment, and economic growth if elected. He assured residents that his administration would be inclusive, noting that even non-indigenes would not be left behind.
Chairman of the Obio/Akpor PDP Campaign Organization, Collins Amadi, urged the people to vote for the PDP in the forthcoming elections.
Meanwhile, the PDP chairman in Obio/Akpor LGA, Paddy Wali, presented the party’s flag to the candidates for councillorship positions in the wards covered. They include Michael Azunwo Uche (Ward 1), Stanley Ogbougo (Ward 2), Eddison Amadi (Ward 3), and Justice Eziwo (Ward 7).
The campaign train is expected to continue today with a tour of Zone Two, which comprises Wards 10 and 11.
