Ohanaeze Ndigbo Condemns Child Molestation Case at Rivers Religious Facility

The Rivers State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has condemned the child molestation and torture case uncovered at a religious facility identified as Our Lord’s Victory Covenant Mission.

President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Rivers State, Livingstone Weche, described the incident—allegedly carried out under the guise of an “instruction from the Holy Spirit”—as unbiblical and a gross violation of the rights and dignity of children. He labelled the act “devilish” and an affront to both Christian and Igbo cultural values.

Weche commended the swift intervention of the Rivers State Police Command following a viral video that exposed the abuse, and assured that Ohanaeze would fully support authorities in ensuring those responsible face justice.

The group also urged religious institutions and the wider public to remain vigilant against individuals or groups that exploit faith to commit criminal acts.
