The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Dr. Gift Worlu, has pledged to deliver a new administration free from divisiveness and greed if elected.
He made the promise during the official flag-off of the party’s campaign rallies for Wards 4 and 6 at Oroevo Community Secondary School, Rumuorolu, where PDP flags were also presented to councillorship candidates, Kingsley Worlu and Gift Igbani.
Addressing supporters, Dr. Worlu said he has the experience required to transform Obio/Akpor and vowed to seek the input of both indigenes and non-indigenes in driving development that will have lasting impact.
The chairman of the Obio/Akpor PDP campaign organization, Collins Amadi, urged eligible voters to support Dr. Worlu and the councillorship candidates in the August 30th local government elections.
In a show of solidarity, former Obio/Akpor chairman, Dr. George Ariolu, described Dr. Worlu as the best candidate to lead the LGA.
Meanwhile, the PDP campaign team also paid a courtesy visit to the paramount ruler of Rumuogba Kingdom, Dr. Temple Ejekwu.
