The University of Port Harcourt has appointed Professor Princewill Chike as its new Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Chike, who hails from Eligbam Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, succeeds the outgoing Vice-Chancellor as the institution’s tenth substantive Vice-Chancellor.
He previously served as Commissioner for Health during the administration of former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.
