Judge THOKOZILE MASIPA delivered the judgment a while ago, after which PISTORIUS was taken immediately to jail.
The fresh judgment comes after previous five-year sentence of the Olympic athlete was overturned following the reversal of his previous conviction for involuntary manslaughter over the same crime.
Twenty-nine-years-old PISTORIUS admitted firing four gunshots that killed STEENKAMP on Saint Valentine’s Day three years ago, but claimed he had mistaken her for an intruder.
In the latest verdict; Judge THOKOZILE MASIPA said mitigating circumstances, such as rehabilitation and remorse, outweighed aggravating factors for deviating from the prescribed 15-year sentence for murder.
