Former Governor, Sir CELESTINE OMEHIA, gave the charge in his address at the Annual Convention of the Ogbakor Ikwerre USA.
Sir OMEHIA recalled how he became the first Rivers State of the Ikwerre ethnic extraction by providence in 2007, through which he said God opened the gate of blessings and favour for Ikwerre people in the leadership of the state.
Despite acknowledging the successes of the Ikwerre people since 2007, he said the ethnic nationality still has a long way to go.
In a paper entitled “Panacea for Peace and Unity in Ikwerre Land “, Sir OMEHIA said for peace to reign in Ikwerre-land, patriotism must be visibly displayed by the Ikwerre political class.
