The Leader of the 8th Ogu/Bolo Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tamunoitekena Ako, has assured that the House will carry out thorough scrutiny of the 2026 Appropriation Bill presented by the Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Vincent Nemieboka.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Assembly, Igbikiberebima A. Sunday, the Leader described the budget presentation as a key requirement for ensuring accountability and due process in governance. He added that the legislature would ensure speedy consideration and passage of the bill.
Presenting the budget, Chairman Vincent Nemieboka highlighted achievements recorded under the 2025 supplementary budget, including rural electrification projects, youth training in marine technology, social welfare programmes, and micro-business empowerment initiatives. He said the proposed 2026 budget, valued at over ₦20 billion, would consolidate ongoing projects and accelerate development across the LGA.
The Assembly Leader also commended the Chairman for providing a befitting legislative chamber, which was used for the first time during the budget presentation.
