The press secretary to the council boss, Ndu Ajie who revealed this known in an interview with Today FM’s Sandra Kenneth, said ONELGA administration led by Vincent Job has set up committees across the communities ahead of the disaster.
Ajie said make shift camps have already been provided, as well as drainages cleaned, to ensure a free flow of water.
The council also called on people living in flood prone area to begin plans to leave the area to higher ground and relate relate their difficulties to the council.
