NYCN President Pledges Digital-Driven Youth Development If Re-Elected

The President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Sukubo Sara-Igbe Sukubo, has promised to harness emerging digital innovations to promote effective youth leadership, sustainable development, and empowerment if re-elected.

Sukubo, who is seeking a fresh four-year mandate, will contest at the NYCN National Elective Congress scheduled to hold from 19th to 21st September 2025 in Jalingo, Taraba State.

Speaking in Ibadan during a meeting with delegates from the South-West geopolitical zone, he assured that his next term would focus on tapping into the creativity and energy of young Nigerians to drive national progress.

The Chairman of the Forum of State Chairmen of NYCN and Oyo State Chairman, Abdulsalam Abdulquadri, alongside other stakeholders at the event, endorsed Sukubo’s re-election bid, describing it as being in the best interest of Nigerian youths.

Our correspondent also reports that Sukubo declared the NYCN’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, saying continuity and consolidation remain vital for the country’s stability and growth.
