The Nigeria Women Football League has opened its mid-season transfer window, allowing clubs in the top women’s division to register new players. The window, which began on 28 February 2026, will run for a short period before closing in early March, giving teams the opportunity to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season.
League organisers said the move is aimed at improving competition quality and giving clubs flexibility to reinforce their squads where necessary. Officials believe the transfer activity will help raise the standard of women’s football in the country as the season progresses.
