Nigerian security agencies have uncovered a systematic expansion approach being adopted by the Islamist Boko Haram insurgents. This followed the arrest of twelve individuals in Lagos, who are suspected to be spearheading the expansion of the Boko Haram beyond the northern region where the group had concentrated its operations over the years. The revelation was made just a reports filtered in about the latest attack by insurgents in Borno State capital, Maiduguri, which killed more than fifty people.
