Candle light procession held in Port Harcourt commemorate Endsars anniversary

Hundreds of youths have staged a candlelight procession at waterlines junction in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, to commemorate the one-year remembrance of the Endsars protest of last year. 

The youths, who were carrying placards with various inscriptions walked round some  street of Port Harcourt under the watch of Armed Policemen 

Organizers of the procession want the government to start the implementation of the panel of inquiry on police brutality as well prosecute errant police officers.

Similar protest were held in several states in the country including Osun and Enugu where the police denied organisers access to the venue

Earlier, tear gas cannisters were used to disperse protesters, while some youths alongside some journalists  were arrested by police in Lekki toll gate, Lagos state

Another man who claimed to be taxi driver was beaten and manhandled by the police while attempting to put him into the black maria

Meanwhile, When Today fm's Onyekachi Nwosu contacted the force Public Relations office, Frank Mba to know the reason behind the arrest of the protesters, he claim not to have enough information about it.
