Bio-metric capturing exercises for unemployed Niger Delta Youths launched.
A biometric data capturing scheme has been flagged off for youths across the Niger Delta states.
Our correspondent reports that the record compilation particularly targets unemployed youths in the oil producing states in Nigeria.
The exercise is in response to excuses by oil multinationals in the region that majority of the young people lacked the requisite qualifications for employment opportunities in the companies.
The National President of the umbrella Niger Delta Youth Movement, JOE JACKSON made this known during a media briefing in Port Harcourt.
JOE JACKSON said at the end of the data capturing exercise, the names of all unemployed youths in the Niger Delta would be submitted to the Federal Government and the multinational companies for consideration for employment vacancies.
Our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA reports that the Niger Delta youths data capturing exercise is expected last four months.
