Director Rivers State Sports council Sir Daobu Harry says sports and sports men are as important as other segments in the society. Athletes in the state are being owed over 5 months salaries and some folks are of the opinion that though they deserve and must be paid their wages it should be after more important issues should have been taken care off.
Director Rivers State Sports council Sir Daobu Harry says sports and sports men are as important as other segments in the society. Athletes in the state are being owed over 5 months salaries and some folks are of the opinion that though they deserve and must be paid their wages it should be after more important issues should have been taken care off. Harry says that the current government has sports in the state at heart and are only hampered by a paucity of funds. The Sports Council boss also had a message for athletes who protested non-payment of salaries today at the Rivers State government house.
