A member of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers state, Golden Ben-Chioma who is a loyalist to Senator Magnus Abe is claiming to have emerged as the state chairman of the party from a parallel congress which he claimed was conducted in the state.

Chioma said those who purchased nomination forms took part in the congresses that produced him as chairman of the party.

Speaking at an event in Port Harcourt, Chioma assured that his leadership is committed to winning elections in the state.

He also urge Governor Nyesom Wike to start preparing his handover notes ahead of 2023.

Recall that Golden Ben-Chioma last Saturday told today fm that he pulled out from the state congress of the APC, as a result of the petition he wrote to the national leadership of the party over irregularities in the process.

On their parts, the former Chief of Staff in the Rivers State Government House, Tony Okocha and former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Worgu Boms said there was no other congress in the state apart from the one that saw the emergence of Golden Ben-Chioma as the state chairman.

Today FM’s Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that the former member of the House of Representatives for Ikwerre-Emohua Federal Constituency, Chidi Wiheoka was present at the event and threatened to expose Rotimi Amaechi if he fails to obey the decision by those loyal to Senator Magnus Abe.
