Officials said the detonated bomb and a device found nearby were similar to the bombs used at the 2013 Boston marathon attack.
The preliminary reports also indicate that both devices had mobile phones and Christmas lights as makeshift detonators.

No arrest has been made so far, but the Federal Bureau of Investigation said it intercepted a vehicle of interest in Brooklyn on Sunday.
FBI officials told the media that five people were taken into custody for questioning.
