Our correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the Commissioner of Police, FRANCIS ODESANYA has personally visited Eid prayer grounds within Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpor to monitor activities.
The Police Commissioner also briefed senior police officers at the State Command headquarters in Port Harcourt.
CP ODESANYA said the Police Tactical Units have been placed on alert to respond to distress calls in any part of the state.
The Commissioner of Police said the operations of the Rivers State Command have been divided across three major zones, covering Port Harcourt, Ahoada and Bori.
CP FRANCIS ODESANYA warned that anyone or group of persons caught in any act of criminality would not be spared.
