The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has called on Ogoni leaders to unite and place the welfare of the people above individual interests.
The group’s President, Andah Wai-Ogosu, made the appeal during an interactive session with journalists and stakeholders in Eleme Local Government Area.
He said it has become necessary for leaders in Ogoni to prioritise collective interests in order to drive meaningful development and address longstanding challenges affecting the area.
Wai-Ogosu explained that the meeting was convened to examine key issues confronting the Ogoni ethnic nationality and to chart a common path forward for progress and stability.
