The faction of the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) led by Lazarus Tamana has renewed calls for environmental justice in Ogoniland.
Speaking at an event themed “No to Oil Resumption in Ogoniland” to mark the 30th anniversary of the execution of the Ogoni Nine, Tamana said the late activists did not die in vain, as their legacies continue to inspire the struggle for justice and environmental restoration.
Lazarus Tamana, an international activist based in the United Kingdom, also urged the Federal Government to set up a judicial review to examine the circumstances surrounding the execution of the Ogoni Nine, stressing the need for historical accountability and closure for the Ogoni people.
