June 12 is being commemorated as Nigeria’s Democracy Day to celebrate the June 12, 1993 Presidential Election widely regarded as the nation’s freest, which was annulled by then military dictatorship.
Obi, who is challenging the outcome of the February 25, 2023, Presidential election, in a Democracy Day message to Nigerians, said the challenge of June 12 and a dedicated Democracy Day is to inspire citizens to correct the errors of recent elections.
The LP Presidential candidate described June 12 asa historic day worth celebrating.
