The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that its nationwide online Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will begin next week Monday.
Acting Head of Department, Voter Education and Publicity in Rivers State, Geraldine Ekelemu, said in-person registration will commence on August 25 in all 23 INEC local government offices in the state. The exercise will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays.
According to INEC, the CVR is open to citizens who have turned 18, those who were previously registered, and individuals wishing to transfer their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) or replace lost or damaged ones.
The commission added that registered voters who have yet to collect their PVCs will also be able to do so during the exercise.
