The immediate past Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Chijioke Ihunwo, has dismissed allegations of land grabbing contained in a petition filed against him by his successor, Dr Gift Worlu.
Speaking through his lawyer, Obidinma Obidinma, Ihunwo insisted he had no case to answer, maintaining that he lawfully acquired the disputed property from the rightful owners in Rukpokwu.
He also questioned the authority of the current council chairman to interfere in the matter.
Ihunwo further expressed surprise that Worlu chose to petition the Rivers State House of Assembly despite the matter already being before the National Assembly.
