HP and UpSkill Universe have launched a new AI skills training programme targeting 55,000 small businesses across Nigeria and South Africa.
The initiative, known as AI Skills for Business, is designed to help entrepreneurs move from basic awareness of artificial intelligence to practical application of AI tools that can improve business performance.
The programme will provide participating businesses with practical knowledge and skills to use AI for productivity, business growth and everyday operations.
UpSkill Universe, which is delivering the programme, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring African entrepreneurs do not simply learn about AI but are able to apply the technology to grow their businesses.
The training builds on earlier digital-skills initiatives involving HP, Google and UpSkill Universe, which focused on helping African SMEs develop capabilities in areas including AI, digital marketing and e-commerce.
The latest programme comes as artificial intelligence continues to reshape how businesses operate, creating both new opportunities and a growing need for entrepreneurs to develop relevant digital skills.
Registration for the AI Skills for Business programme is currently open.
