We gathered that security operatives clashed with some youths in the area.
A source from the community who confirmed the incident to our correspondent alleged that shooting started when some youths from Rumuoparachinwo and Rumukosi villages in Rumuekini tried to resist arrest by the police personal.
The source said that elders from the two villages had reported the errant youths to the police over a disputed piece land.
The shooting sparked fear among residents of Rumuekini Community that left residents scampering for safety.
In the meantime, it is not clear if any arrest was made.
