According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi, Bitebobo Amieye has been directed to take over as the new Chairman.
The statement also instructed Briggs to hand over all council property in his possession to the incoming Caretaker Committee Chairman.
The tenure of the state’s Caretaker Committee Chairmen is set to expire tomorrow, September 18, 2024.
