Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has received Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Port Harcourt International Airport ahead of the 2026 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL).
Vice President Shettima arrived in Rivers State to represent President Bola Tinubu at the annual event being hosted in Port Harcourt.
The Nigerian Army Day Celebration commemorates the establishment of the Nigerian Army and honours the courage, sacrifice and professionalism of officers and soldiers in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and supporting internal security operations.
The event also features military parades, exhibitions, awards and other activities showcasing the Army’s operational achievements and contributions to national development.
