Gomboru Ngala town in Borno State has returned to the control of federal troops after many months of occupation by Boko Haram fighters. Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel SANI KUKASHEKA USMAN confirmed the development in a statement released to newsmen. He said the town was recaptured by troops under the Operation Lafiya Dole, who have since commenced a mop up operation around the strategic commercial town.
