Former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Doctor NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA, has accused Lagos lawyer, FEMI FALANA of malicious attempt to drag her name into what she knows nothing about.

Former Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Doctor NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA, has accused Lagos lawyer, FEMI FALANA of malicious attempt to drag her name into what she knows nothing about.The accusation was contained in a statement in reaction to FALANA’s moves to file a suit at the International Criminal Court in The Hague against officials who benefited from looting of funds meant for arms purchase for the Nigerian Military.
According to the statement released by her Media Adviser PAUL NWABUIKWU, Doctor OKONJO-IWEALA described the move by FALANA as a desperate joke that is lacking in integrity.NWABUIKWU noted said it was misadventure that shows that the lawyer does not have any idea of what the mandate of the International Criminal Court is about.He said it was on record that OKONJO-IWEALA championed transparency and vigorously fought corruption during her two terms as Minister, first under former president, OLUSEGUN OBASNAJO.
