The goal is to regulate professionals involved in such operations by registering, certifying and classifying them into various categories.
The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, BABATUNDE FASHOLA, gave this indication in a message to a ceremony for the flag-off of the scheme in Abuja.
The Minister who was represented by the Minister of State, MUSTAPHA BABA SHEHURI said the certification would help to stamp out sharp and unethical practices in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry.
He only certified electrical installation contractors, who obtain graded licences by Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency, would now be allowed to operate in Nigeria.
