FG Engages US in Talks Amid Military Threat by Trump

The Federal Government of Nigeria is holding discussions with authorities in the United States following a military threat reportedly issued by US President Donald Trump.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this during an interview with Sky News, noting that diplomatic channels are proving effective in easing tensions between the two countries.

The minister clarified that Nigeria has not lost any territory to Boko Haram insurgents, stressing that the fight against terrorism is not conventional warfare. He added that the United States has historically supported Nigeria in counterterrorism efforts and emphasized that collaboration remains essential in the ongoing battle against insurgency.
