The Federal Government has awarded contracts for the rehabilitation of 13 police training institutions across the country as part of efforts to prepare the facilities for the commencement of training programmes by the Nigeria Police Force.
The rehabilitation work is expected to be completed within three weeks, with the government targeting the restoration of the institutions to functional standards ahead of the resumption of training activities.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, Office of the Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha, disclosed this in a statement. He said the update was presented in Abuja during the 160th meeting of the National Economic Council, chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
