Egbema Youth Leader Urges Youths to Shun Thuggery, Violence Ahead of 2027 Elections

As the 2027 general elections draw closer, the newly elected President-General of the Egbema Youth Federation in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hope Rachel-Ijeomah, has urged youths in the area to shun political thuggery, cultism and violence.

Rachel-Ijeomah made the call while speaking with newsmen, urging youths to embrace peace and contribute to a safe and peaceful electoral process.

She also pledged to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to introduce skill-acquisition programmes and other empowerment initiatives aimed at engaging young people and discouraging them from social vices.

The youth leader said providing meaningful opportunities for young people would help them channel their energy into productive activities.

On his part, the Chairman of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Shedrack Ogbogu, charged the new leadership of the Egbema Youth Federation to unite youths across the area.

Represented by the Council Secretary, Ndulaka Oki, Ogbogu stressed that unity was essential to the development of the area.

He assured the youths of the council’s continued partnership and support in improving their welfare and creating opportunities for their growth and development.
