Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested a suspected internet fraud syndicate in Lagos during a coordinated operation carried out across different locations in the state.
The Commission said the suspects were picked up following intelligence linking them to a series of online scams targeting both local and foreign victims. Several electronic devices were reportedly recovered for forensic analysis.
The EFCC stated that investigations are ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of preliminary findings.
